There are many coffee brands, but those companies who roast the beans and prepare them to be sold, get the beans always from the same regions – e.g. from Cameroon in Africa. In those countries the standard of living is often not high and for this reason they are also called developing countries. And this also means that their economy is significantly weaker than in Germany and most people there live on a subsistence level. Although people do know that they still often pay coffee farmers too less so that they can hardly live. The farmers for this reason have to have children work for them to cope with their big harvest for many coffee companies every year. And this is why many children cannot attend school lessons and aim for education. |
