Chocolate today is a sweet, very sugar containing food and drink, which is made from cocoa and various sugar types. You can either eat it directly or use it to refine cakes, dessert, etc.

Many cocoa bean-processing companies, which work behind the known chocolate brands, get their beans always from the same regions – e.g. from Ecuador in South America. In those countries the standard of living is often not high and for this reason they are also called developing countries. And this also means that their economy is significantly weaker than in Germany and most people there live on a subsistence level. Although people do know that they still often pay owners of cocoa plantations too less so that they can hardly live. The Owners for this reason have to have children work for them to cope with their big harvest for many coffee companies every year. And this is why many children cannot attend school lessons and aim for education.
