Coffee and Chocolate are groceries that are sold much everywhere. Many people like to eat a piece of chocolate every now and then or have a cup of coffee for breakfast or to go with a piece of cake in the afternoon. The industries are all well. However, the situation is not good at all. Coffee farmers and owners of cocoa plantations are often paid too little for the effort made for the delivered commodities. But the base of our luxury should be fair trading and not avidity and intolerance. The sustainability for this reason has to be the important aim to reach.

“Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” [1]

Now we need YOU to shake the industries of coffee and chocolate to make clear that the situation is not good at all only because they make the requested profit. Look for fair traded products in your grocery store. Yes indeed, they are expensive, but when we are able to motivate as many people as we can, the industries have to react and the right direction to a better life for coffee farmers, owners of cocoa plantations and their families can be aimed for.
